Meeting #8 and #9 - details, etc

Getting back on track... Allan is in good health again and Ross is healing well. The last two meetings we have schedule revolved around them so we have had to make some changes.

Meeting #8 will be Tuesday, 3/13 at 7:30pm at Wine Works. This will be another "no topic" meeting, come and have good drinks with good friends and think up some good ideas.

Meeting #9 will be Tuesday, March 20th at 7:00pm at the Euro Cafe (location to be confirmed). We will be screening the movie "The Player", Directed by Robert Altman. Our own Allan Nicholls was the Assistant Director and will give us a "directors cut" walk through and discussion after. Please be on time because we need to start the movie.

Here are the next six meeting times and topics:
3/13 - no topic
3/20 - Screen "The Player"
4/3- Beer tasting and home brew session
4/17 - Peaceoneday.org
5/1 - Idealization of social democracies
5/15 - idea/topic session

i am getting the impression that not too many are visiting the blog..or at least not too many are commenting.
What the ???It only tkes a minute or two and its a damn good way to get things out of your system...my advice is to get involved.
Last nights gathering, although lightly attended was enjoyable.
Sometimes it jsut feels good to sit and shoot the breeze (as we used to say) and let go with a few opinions and discuss nothing that has to do with work but maybe life....which by the way, gets more precious as you get older. I am not by any means a wise sage or the right person to ask anything of, but I do know this one thing, the past goes by so fast while the future takes so long to get to...chew on that.
I hope to see you all at The Player as it is a pretty special film and yes I can and will answer any question you might have about it.

See you then...Allan

Hey Allan and Jay!

If you see anyone who is in the society, you might want to let them know that we need to figure out what kind of beer we're going to brew.
My vote goes for a stout, because they're easier to make, and more expensive to buy in bars and stores.

It's still up for discussion though.

We also need to remind everyone to bring their $20 smackers for dues, because this is our first expenditure! Beer supplies!

In addition to yourself and your dues, bring a 6 pack of either
a) your favorite beer (seriously)
b) A beer you've never tried but always wanted to.

see you there!

ps
Jay - i can't start a new topic, if you could copy and paste this into one minus the beginning, i'd be much obliged.
