The next meeting will be Tuesday May 29th at 7:30pm. It will be held at the 158 North Willard (unless we find a better location before then). The topic of the meeting with be a state of the union on the good idea society and planning the topics for the next six meetings. In the mean time please post meeting ideas to the idea bank post. We'll have GIS Stout's and Brown Ale's.

Hey GIS!
Won't be able to make it tonight. I have a jog out in the sticks this evening. Can I be honest with you? I am less interested in GIS these days.
I love having the excuse to meet up with you on Tuesdays, but I am generally more drawn to experiences that are new, fresh (and sometimes uncomforatble): an eBay exhibit at Shelburne Museum, Cheese tasting, feeding the homeless, going to a city council meeting, etc.
Would GIS consider having a guest speaker or attending an event? Would they be open to putting themselves in a sitution where they may otherwise not feel comfortable? Could we move away from redundant discussions and be willing to engage and involve ourselves?
With Soccer on Wednesdays and Kickball on Thursdays (as do a handful of you) I personally have a hard time fitting in enriching experiences that generally make us all more interesting people.
Just a thought.
